There are many forms of rabbit repellent. Here’s a post dedicated to some interesting rabbit control facts.
Rabbits Can Squeeze Through Small Holes … As Long as Their Heads Fit
Rabbits can squeeze their bodies through incredibly small holes. As long as their heads fit, they can get their body through. Fence holes should be smaller than 1 ½ inches to make sure they don’t squeeze through.

Rabbits Prefer to Feed in the Dark
Light up your yard and they’ll be less likely to feast on your plants, shrubs and bushes.

No Rabbit Solution is Effective 100% of the Time
You get the best rabbit control when you employ a variety of methods. For instance, if you install a fence, you can beef up its power to keep rabbits out by spraying it with some rabbit repellent.

A Rabbit Will Eat a Plant Considered to be Rabbit-Proof
If the rabbit is hungry, it will eat the plant, even if it usually doesn’t. Moreover, planting rabbit-proof plants doesn’t protect the other plants you have growing in your yard.

Rabbits Tend to Prefer Plants on the Edge
Rabbits typically feast on the plants on the edge of your property. Plants located out in the open tend to get less attention from rabbits.

Effective Commercial Rabbit Repellents Target Their Sense of Smell and Taste
An effective rabbit repellent targets both their sense of smell and taste. These senses are highly developed in rabbits.

Putrescent egg and garlic will smell like a decaying animal. This will elicit a flight response in the rabbit because the smell is associated with a predator being nearby.

Capsaicin will cause a burning sensation on contact. If a rabbit starts to eat a plant treated with this active ingredient, it will stop. It’s the same as if we ate an extremely hot chili pepper.

Motion Detector Sprays Can be an Effective Form of Rabbit Control
Motion detector sprays release a burst of water when it senses a rabbit. The sudden ejection of water, along with noise, and motion frightens the rabbit away.

There are models that use infrared technology to sense an animal is nearby from both movement and heat, offering highly effective rabbit control.

A Granular Rabbit Repellent is Ideal for Year-Round Use

Unlike sprays, granular rabbit repellents can be used when temperatures drop below 40 degrees. Another benefit of granular rabbit repellents is knowing when reapplication is required. If you see the pellets, you know it’s still working. If you don’t see the pellets, you know reapplication is needed.

A Liquid Rabbit Repellent Is Ideal for Protecting Large Areas

Spraying on a liquid rabbit repellent is easy … especially when the product comes with a battery-operated sprayer. Spray liquid rabbit repellent on your garden, shrubs or landscaping. Just be sure the spray displays the OMRI logo so you know it’s been reviewed and approved for use in organic gardening.
