Steve Burns, for

Two years before my retirement from public office I took leave and when I was back after a month’s vocation… to my surprise I was given a relieving letter. Of course this came with “full benefits”. I was clueless as to where to start a new life. Then, my son John suggested I begin writing and do online jobs sitting at home.

Soon enough I was able to make a handsome two figure and then it goes up to four figures to this day.

Canada being a favorite AdSense destination because of the high purchasing power of the people using the internet, it has been a good journey and I never looked back at the cubicle work place.

Here I share with you ways to earn online and make a new beginning.

1. Start a blog
For many, they start blogging because it was their hobby. For me, at least, to be true, I started blogging with the intention of making money online. Since my works was in the creative department of the public office, I soon love writing new posts on a daily basis. Gradually, visitors beyond Canada were reading my blogs and I'm still going strong.

2. Sell Products
I was never a salesman type and will never be. That was my attitude not long ago. But online selling opportunities threw a challenging and interesting revelations. I realized that I never have to do face to face selling of products which are already recognized brands. So, I took the plunged!!!! I started selling in a BIG way. I became an affiliate of Kijiji, Craigslist, Ebay and Amazon. Recently, I registered for Clickbank and I’m looking forward to this marketing platform.

You may also consider joining Etsy, if you are good in making stuffs.

3. Write for accepts freelance writers if you have the zeal for writing about anything. They have a very wide area of categories on which you can write.... from hobbies, travel, entertainment, parenting, technology, etc. If you are considering only writing without starting a blog which involves a lot of promotion is the right place for you. They will give you a minimum of $500 per month for the first 2 years if you publish at least 12 articles per month.

4. Surveys
There are many reputable survey sites like Opinion Outpost and Cash Crate which pays you for your views via surveys.  Not a big money maker but a good sidekick to other online income schemes.
