There are many people out there in the cyberspace who will tell you that blogging is the simplest and easiest way to start earning money online. But when you finally take the plunged you found out that you are not even making a dollar a day! So, the question of making a living out of blogging is out of question. Why is that most bloggers end up disappointed?
Here are some of the reasons:-
1. Blogging is simple. Earning is not simple:-
Opening a blog is simple. Blogging platforms like Blogger.com and Wordpress.com are so simple you can sign up in a matter of few minutes and lo...you started posting articles or write-ups in your niche area. However, after a week, months and even a year later you found that you have not make any money. This is because you have to know how to sell your blog. By selling, I’m saying you buy vistors, but you have to package your blog and introduce it to friends, colleagues and others via social networking sites or through an advertising campaign. When you master the second part then you are ready to go to the bank.
2. Blogging is great. Articles are not always great: -
Congrats! if you have set up a blog. It’s a step closer to making money online. Blogging also empowers you by enabling you to express your views or share your experiences which may be helpful for others. You are also likely to becomme a well-known face. However, you need to know this: All articles are not that great, they are most of the time boring and monotonous. One needs to developed a creative bent of mind and see that all articles are easy to comprehend. Remember, the internet reader is a fast reader. So, when bloggers think they will go deep into the details and intricacies of the issue or tips they are writing, most readers don’t bother to read. They just skipped onto something else.
3. Staying at home is fun. Managing time is pain:-
In the last two years, we’ve been busy preparing ground for the launch of several blogs which we planned to gradually expand. We found that, staying at home can be fun and at the same time painful. Sometimes, a member of your family will think that you are doing nothing productive once you stay put at home even if you are making dollars. Also, the time management becomes difficult as you are with the reach of your family members’ call and interferences. You may tell them you’ve got work and sometimes, they will get pissed off. The result: long faces. If you and your family can keep the working hours at home pretty strict then you can expect good returns with peace of mind. This, however, is difficult to achieve.
