There was a time when bloggers have to simply write their updates and then leave the search engines do the job of bringing in the right readers.
However, over the last few years, there has been major shift in the way top bloggers maintain their rankings.
The reason is mainly because there are no so many websites or blogs and it becomes so difficult for the readers to identify which of these are really helpful to them. This confusion has risen because so many of these bloggers have no niche area, meaning they post so many topics on their blogs rather than focusing on a single area. This leads to what is called sea of confusion and the reader after a single visit will hardly remember that blog.
On the other hand even those blogs which said they focused on a single niche are on ‘auto-blogging’. These auto blogs can never be really trusted. If you run one of those, remember it will slowly go downhill.
Let’s say you have a great idea on starting a new blog that will be of specific interest to a particular section, the key you must remember is the readers’ interest and then streamlining the content that will greatly benefit your visitors.
I had a friend who was full of great ideas on setting started and after writing few original articles he went for the easy was and started posting free articles that are available on the net. This was his greatest mistake. He could have tried filling up his blog in such a way no others have done in his own unique way. Gradually even his own friends gradually skip his blog and that he finally have to shut down his blog which he hosted on Wordpress. This means, it is not just great idea, you need to have patience and originality.
I have always tried to offer something no other sites offered. For example when 3G services were first introduced in India, I started a post on How to deactivate Airtel 3G wap service after learning that many people were “charged fees” for this new service even though they had not subscribed to the service. Now, if you just type “deactivate Airtel 3G service” on Google, you’ll get Chiprang.com in the top area.
The ability to adapt to changes and write as per the needs for prospective readers should be the prime focus. If you think that the old methods of blogging alone will push you up, then you are digging your own grave in the blogosphere.
Best formula is: Great idea+patience+adaptability=Higher rate of successful blogging.
